Maybe this is the year impossible things will happen! News reports all over now suggest that the Beatles ITunes deal has happened and that the Beatles music will soon be available for download. Numbers like $400 million dollars have been bandied about, with the cynics suggesting a link to Macca’s divorce settlement with Heather, but the positivists exicted by such things as the remastered back catalogue of Beatles songs, bonus tracks, and even a Beatles-themed IPod.

The completion of the twotles track Now And Then has also resurfaced in rumors. With downloads now counting towards chart success, at least in the UK, this is looking like the most exciting Beatle year since Anthology and 1995.
